This big pot is the answer to my canning prayers! It is perfect for making pickles that can't go in stainless steel or other "metals". It is large enough to soak the cucumbers in lime or just set it on the stove and boil in the syrup. Also it is perfect for canning tomatoes. It is thick enough so there is no sticking on the bottom and two pots hold a bushel of cut up tomatoes. I use these pots to boil my jars to sterilize in them, blanch my tomatoes to peel, blanch peas to freeze and a dozen other chores. I have four 12 quart pots so there is always a clean one at hand while I work. I also have two smaller sized ones for smaller jobs. Imusa is a very well made, thick pot. (My husband dropped one out of the drainboard onto the floor and it did not chip.) The cleanup is very easy with these. The finish is so smooth that it is almost like they have a non-stick coating. Why even think about it? Buy your own. The price is fantastic and shipping is free with this Amazon item. But, please, don't buy them all. I might need more!!

The pot is a great value. I made a lentil and split pea soup both were great but...I had an issue that the veggies burnt on the bottom of the pot. This happened because it was the first time I used it and did not realize how thin the pot was, not a long term issue now that i am aware.

I bought this for making large quantities of stock and didn't want to spend a fortune on a pot that won't be used all that often. This pot works great for me. For the price it is great.
